Course objectives
On successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
· Gain a systematic understanding of the concept of flow assurance.
· Apply competently the fundamental principles of multiphase flow and production chemistry to analyze typical flow assurance systems.
· Design for basic flow assurance and operability.
Course Content
· Definition, applications and operation of Flow Assurance
· The flow system from reservoir matrix to the final delivery point
· The main impediments to the production flow: slugging, hydrates, wax, scale, asphaltenes, naphthenates, sand, erosion, corrosion
· Data gathering and fluids sampling
· Use of simulation software for prediction, prevention and remediation of flow hindering
· Flow Assurance challenges and solution options (engineering and chemical)
